Boston Tea Party Museum
The Boston Tea Party Museum, as seen from The Children's Museum (and Hood Milk Bottle) in Boston's Seaport district. The original is created with watercolor and gouache on heavyweight Arches watercolor paper. The scene is very complex, with multiple buildings, the Museum itself, one of two visible ships, and the shimmering water of the Fort Point Channel. So I wanted to stylize and simplify as much as possible - building the painting up with basic shapes and marks, assembled almost like a puzzle.
